DCMC is a cutting edge composites manufacturer that has been in business for over 40 years. DCMC manufactures CNC plugs, composite molds , CNC molds, CNC parts, composite parts - even limited production, scale models, and CNC cold mold kits. Our superior 3D CAD and engineering staff facilitates the design, engineering, 3 - 5 axis milling, 3D digitizing, testing and evaluations. DCMC has locations in both Cape Coral and Sarasota, FL. The Cape Coral facility contains 42,000 sq ft of manufacturing and office space. In 2012 the Sarasota, Florida facility opened, housing manufacturing and office space of over 300,000 sq. ft. Both facilities house three 5-Axis CNC machines as well as their own 3-axis machines. In 1976 under the leadership of Augusto "Kiko" Villalon Marine Concepts was founded. Kiko realized that there was not a single design and development company in the United States that could take a project from A-Z... to the production floor. He gathered specialists in every area of design, plug building, and mold building; and from under one roof you could now get every stage of development done. The first project was for Paul Kuck at Regal Boats, followed by Chaparral Boats and Cobia Boats. Their reputation carried past the boating industry and Marine Concepts became famous for making over 85 Twistee Treat 22' ice cream cone shaped buildings. For someone who was allowed only $5 when he fled Cuba, Kiko Villalon became one of the most well-known, highly respected and knowledgeable individuals in the marine industry. He visits Marine Concepts frequently when not traveling the world. In 1994, another industry icon, J. Robert "Bob" Long, purchased Marine Concepts with his wife and partner, Karen. In a leased shop, with a small crew of existing employees and some brought in from previous associations, Bob hit the road and sold projects to marine industry acquaintances. With a marine industry career spanning 35 years, including the top position at Wellcraft Marine for over 18 years, and being named "Boating's Man of the Decade for the 1980's", Bob knew his business. He had a vision of where the Company should go and bought CNC mills on the hope that his high-tech predictions would play out and they did. Bit by bit, and through the hard work of the professional team at Marine Concepts, the company became an even stronger force to be reckoned with. In 2016 Bob Long sold the company to LPH, an investment group based out of Georgia. With the additional recourses available, a sixth mill was purchased, the largest one to date. Shortly after, in March of 2017, LPH sold the company, along with its other marine units to Patrick Industries (NASDAQ: PATK). Continued support from the Patrick leadership as well as the leadership within has allows DCMC to grow to serve many customers across multiple industries.
